"So long. Farewell."

I feel so lame. Looking back at my latest blogs is kinda depressing. I never realized how when I have a crazy busy day I get lazy in my writing. I honestly am drained right now. I really never get this tired until around 12:30 at least. But, it's all good. I'm heading home tomorrow. Me and David's parents leave first thing in the morning for their place. Then, I leave to head home for the weekend before I head up to AFLBS. I'm starting to get really excited for school to start up again. It's going to be a great year. I can feel it. Well, nothing extra funny happened today. Nothing even crazy. Which I usually would say makes a boring day. But, it really was a great day. I spent the day with David and his parents (who I love, they crack me up!). It was so relaxing and just plain "chill". I'm learning to appreciate days like these. And yet, I'm excited to see my family again and have a CRAZY day. I'm not even sure when I'll see my family. I'm hoping soon. Like Friday. (Hint hint, family.) Well, I'm off to bed. Long day of traveling tomorrow. Please pray for safe travels! Also, here's a picture of me and the boy. Night!

"Flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss."

Today I...
Went on a walk in Lisbon.
Dominated David at spit.
Got beat at speed (by David.)
Ate lunch.
Went to Target (which had a xelerator dryer, but it was a lame one and I was not impressed).
Played Skipbo and Sorry (but a new version of Sorry I've never played and it was way awesomer than normal Sorry).
Ate dinner.
Went on a walk.
Ate ice cream (no worries, mom, I'm watching my levels).
Played Skipbo.
Am going to bed.

"Despite the high cost of living it remains a popular item."

Woke up this morning and got up to go to church. Turns out it was an outdoor service. It was HOT! And I mean hot. I "glistened" the whole service and there was so many annoying flies bugging me. I was mad. But, it was a great service other than the fact that I was uber uncomfortable in the hot sun.
Well, we got most of David's stuff organized today. I feel bad, because I know his kitchen better than him since me and his mom unpacked all that stuff. I'm sure he'll get to know it soon though.
Just got done watching cake decorating shows and the end of Legally Blonde with Steph. It was nice to just relax and now I'm super pumped to sleep. Sorry this was so short. I'm kinda busy lately! Night!

"Constipated people don't give a crap."

Today was good. I woke up early and got ready to leave. Well, I decided I didn’t want to shower because, well, let’s be honest, I’m lazy. So I was uber greasy all day. It’s quite disgusting. It’s also really sad to me because I used to be able to go 3 days until I got this greasy and it only took 24 hours. Well, I guess I’m either gonna have to keep showering every day or take a few icky days to get my hair used to no showering again. I haven’t decided which route to take yet.
Anywho, we left David’s at 8:30ish this morning and left for Illinois. We stopped in Madison, Wisconsin for Chipotle, which was delicious. But, turns out it was move in day for college at Madison today and it took forever to find a parking spot, but we did. And no worries, we didn’t get mugged by any crazy college students.
Well, we got to David’s new place and got all of his stuff in his place (which is super cute, it’s an “apartment” in the basement of a farm house). And now I’m at my darling friend, Steph’s house. Well, I’m gonna go chat with her and head to bed. Night!
Oh, here’s a picture of me and Steph. :)

"A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words."

Lately I've been finding that I am really picky with my music. Also, I've been trying to learn all the Family Force Five lyrics again. Turns out I forgot all the words when I was being picky with my music and decided I didn't want to listen to them. Well, I'm really regretting that decision now that I'm trying to cram that many songs into my brain which is still in summer mode.
Today I woke up and hung around Liz's dorm while she was at class, then I ate leftover PF Changs with Liz, hung out with her and was on my way to David's. Btw, for those of you who don't know. My boyfriend, David, is moving to Illinois tomorrow. Well, I "helped" him finish packing up and then we went for a walk, ate dinner with his parents, and watched Get Smart. Get Smart. Oh man, I forgot how funny that movie is. Well, I cracked up! Idk if it was actually that funny or if I'm just tired from sleeping on a rock solid couch last night. I'm assuming it's a combination.
Also, I know I said I was going to be blogging every day for the year. Well, I will be blogging. But I cannot promise that they will be put up each day. So, if for some reason, my blog isn't put up within 24 hours of the last blog. It's probably because I have no internet and it will be coming because I will still type it up and then just paste it into here eventually for all you loyal blog readers.
Well, I'm going to bed. Early morning tomorrow. And weird! I'll be in Illinois tomorrow. Night!

“There's no half-singing in the shower, you're either a rock star or an opera diva.”

Today was a sad, yet happy day. A day full of many mixed emotions. I left my cabin today for the summer. It was sad leaving my family knowing I'll only see them again for a weekend before I head off to school for the year. But! I got to see my lovely friend, Liz. It's so good to see her again. I've missed her greatly. We went to PF Changs for dinner and chowed down. And by chowed down, I mean we pigged out. Full on pigged out. Well, afterward we went to Best Buy to buy me a new camera. And I got one on sale! It's a beautiful silver canon and I'm already in love. Here's a picture from my darling new camera of me and Liz. I love her!

If you do not hope, you will not find what is beyond your hopes.

Today has been a great day. And be proud! No nap or coffee today. Wa-bam!

Well today was my last full day at my cabin. :( It was good, nice and relaxing and I even got to go skiing two times. And man, oh man, was skiing epic. I went slalom skiing for a while and then drove Adam, he dropped a ski successfully tonight! I'm so proud! And then I wanted to just go crazy in and out of the wake. Well, Adam took "crazy" to a new extreme and I totally and completely biffed it going out of the wake. My neck is already feeling it. I don't even wanna think about tomorrow. :( But! It was so worth it, it was soooo much fun! I basically screamed the whole time, just ask my mom and Adam. Well, I put some pictures up here of me skiing. Props to my mom. I told her to get a picture with the sunset, and well, she did.
Tomorrow I'm heading to the cities to visit my bestie, Liz. I'm so excited to see her. I've missed her bunches and bunches! It's also my half birthday tomorrow. So, me and Liz are celebrating it by going to PF Changs (ok, so we were actually just going anyways). I'm super excited! PF Changs is basically amazing. And gluten free! So it's a double wammy for awesomeness!
I can't believe summer is basically over. It's kind of sad. And yet, I'm super pumped for school to start. Move in day is September 5. And I'm so glad, because now I can go to the Family Force Five on Saturday at Lifelight. Sooooooooooooo excited! They have the best concerts ever. Basically it's just a dance party. So, I've been working on my dance moves and getting the lyrics down again. It's gonna be swawesome!
Tonight we're making homemade icecream! I've never been so excited! (Ok, that's prolly a lie. I get excited a lot.) I'm also hoping to get some popcorn, too. We'll see how that goes though.

"Close your earballs." -Emily

This morning I woke up and I freaked out because I wasn't in my bed. I totally forgot that I was at my cabin, that was a weird experience.
Today was a perfect South Dakota day. Windy. So I took a nap (a 2 hour nap) after lunch since there wasn't much else to do. I tried to take a nap with Jacob (picture to the left) but he wouldn't stop kicking me and throwing his hands in the air, so I gave up on that dream. :(
We ate kabobs (Adam likes to call them kaboobs, I don't think he realizes this sounds inappropriate) tonight for dinner. We also had green beans and sweet corn. I always think I hate sweet corn, and then I eat it. It's actually quite delicious, so I ate one, and then three parts of a cut up one. Such a good meal!
So there's thousands of flies up here at our cabin. I decided to go on a killing escapade. I even went outside. It was exhilarating knowing I killed a fly at least every other time I went for one. Wa-bam! Ok, so there were two flies mating on our fridge and I killed them. Well, I guess this was hilarious to me, because I was on the floor laughing and trying not to pee my pants. It was so hard running to the bathroom. But no worries, folks, I made it. I did not pee myself.
We played croquet tonight. I lost because I guess I cheated. Who knew that if you hit it like ten times in a row and kick it a couple times you'd get disqualified? I think my family is too strict if you ask me. :P
Me and Adam are going glowstick skiing again tonight. So excited! It looks like the wind died down. I sure hope so. It'd be great to not get my hair wet again.

"I just wasted blinker fluid."

Today was... lively. I love days like today. Even though I really didn't get much accomplished, I was busy all day. So great!
Well, today I got up and felt like getting cute. So I did. You know days where you feel like your hair just looks great? Well today my hair blew those days away! Wa-bam! So now that I was all cutesied up I went and ran some quick (and I mean quick) errands. Then I went home and relaxed by watching Lost. Sidenote: My goal this summer was to watch all of Lost. Well, I'm at the end of season 3. So halfway there. I don't think I'll be finishing this summer. Oh well! It makes me realize how great my summer must've been since I didn't get very far. :)

Well, tonight was THE night. I bought glowsticks this afternoon before coming up to the cabin. Me and Adam have been talking about going night skiing basically all summer. And! We did it. We put a glowstick on our wrist, around our neck, and on our lifejacket. It was so cool looking back off the boat and seeing three little glowing circles and nothing else. Ha! Well, there is nothing more fun than skiing under the stars and moon. I picked out some constellations while up and had a marvelous time going in and out of the wake with the moonlight on the lake. We didn't go very extreme on turns since, well, it was basically pitch black. But man, oh man, it was swawesome! (aka so awesome) Well, I can now be satisfied with the summer of 2010. Completely satisfied. Thank you, Adam.

Every time you see a beautiful woman, just remember, somebody got tired of her.

I can't believe I almost forgot to blog today! :/
But, here I am... Blogging.
This morning as I was driving to church looking all snazzy in my brand new stinking awesomely cute new purple shirt I decided to spill my iced coffee on myself. Well, by spill, I mean dribbled. I was drinking my coffee from a straw. I really have no idea how I managed that. But, no worries, I washed my shirt when I got home and it came out. So thankful!
Today I got to hang out with Calie. She's so great! We ate, watched movies, and played Diddy Kong Racing. Calie and I used to play Diddy all the time back in high school. We even brought it on road trips. We were OBSESSED! Well, today we got it out and played like 6 races. I couldn't believe how horrible I had gotten since high school. I'm ashamed. Also, it's not as fun as I remember. Calie concurs. So that ended pretty quick. Isn't it crazy how things change in our lives? I also got to hang out with Preston tonight. Preston just got back form a mission trip to Haiti. He didn't really talk about it, but I think he had a grand time (at least that's what I've kinda gotten from his tiny comments about it). It was a good time. I always enjoy hanging out with my good friends.
Tomorrow I leave for my cabin, then on Thursday I go to the cities to visit Liz. I also have a nanny job interview on Thursday!!!! So excited! Please pray that it goes well. :) Then Friday, I head to David's and on Saturday we leave for Illinois to move him down there. Kinda lame, but I'm super excited to hang out with his family and well, him. :) After I get back from Illinois, I have a weekend at home and then I move up to school. Crazy! Summer is basically gone. But not officially! So I'm going to milk it as much as I can.
Sad sidenote: My camera (no worries, it's my little baby camera) has officially bit the dust. The stupid lens won't go back in. And! I didn't drop it. I know I didn't.
Well, bedtime! I can't believe I managed to stay up until 12:25. I was ready for bed at 6! Guess friends make you more alive. Night!

P.S. Today's quote is not because I like it. But, because I think it's sad. And lame, so to whoever wrote that quote, I think you're lamesauce!

“When we are tired, we are attacked by ideas we conquered long ago.”

I am so tired tonight. Honestly, I feel kinda sick. So, this is going to be very short.
Today was a lazy day. I personally love days like today. I got up, ate breakfast, went for a walk (I was going to run, but my knee hurts (prolly from skiing).) Showered, sat on my computer, ate lunch, went to Walmart (I forgot it was Saturday, it was crazy!!!!), came home, went to Dunn Bros with Nicolette, ate dinner, watched movies with Nicolette, am now am in bed blogging. Did anything really great happen today? Not really. But I realize that days like today make crazy funny days even more crazy and funny. I thank God for perspective. Well, now that you know what I did today, I'm going to bed. I'm so exhausted! Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel more alive, less sick and less tired. We'll see. :) Night!

Girls are like phones. We love to be held and talked to, but if you press the wrong button you'll be disconnected!

Well today was interesting. I went to bed last night at 11 and I woke up at 9. Yes, that is correct. I slept for 10 hours. Wa-bam! Well, except not wa-bam. I was so tired and felt just disgusting when I woke up. Well, after a while I got ready for the day and ate breakfast. Then, I checked my levels around 10 and I was at 250. That's high. So after being mad at my life I decided to go on a walk. Except halfway through I got bored and decided to run. So I ran about a mile. Did it feel good? Heck no! I hate running with a passion. But it got me home faster. And! It got my levels down to 71. Awesome!
Well, today was a lame day (feeling sick and all). So after lunch I took a nap. It was awesome, until I woke up feeling even worse than when I fell asleep. I woke up with a migraine and feeling even groggier than before. :(
But, no worries. My whole day wasn't lame. I started to feel better around dinner and after dinner Adam and I went skiing. I really am addicted to skiing lately. It's such a thrill! Anywho, I dropped my ski again today and went for quite a while. It was awesome! Except my abs and legs hurt. But I'm loving that burn, because that means I'm getting "buff". Lol Well, Adam decided to try slalom skiing, which means we have to go pick up the ski that he dropped. Well, I think I was going to fast when Emily grabbed it and so she didn't get a hold of it. So I threw my towel off and just jumped in not thinking that I was already dry and still had to drive home. Oh well! It was fun and Adam and Emily got a laugh out of it.
Well, I'm home now. I moved all of my stuff back home from the cabin since I won't be coming straight home from the cabin next time before school starts. This summer is gone, I didn't even realize it was here. :( It's kinda really sad, and yet! I'm super pumped to head back to AFLBS for the school year. Well, I best be getting all my stuff put away and head to bed.
Also, the quote of the day makes me laugh. Haha! So true! Wa-bam!

Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.

This morning I woke up and looked outside to fog. Well, no skiing this morning. And, the fog didn't lift until after lunch. I've never experienced that before. It was pretty cool, but at the same time it made doing stuff outside basically pointless because after 10 minutes you were all wet from the moisture in the air.
Today I swatted the fly swatter 5 inches from Emily's face. She jumped like 5 feet. So funny!
Since today was such a lazy day we watched Emperor's New Groove. I forgot how funny that movie is. It's great!
Well after the fog went away we went skiing again. And!!!! I dropped a ski and succeeded at slalom skiing!!!!! It was awesome! Ok so, the second time I dropped the ski I was going for a long while and almost fell, but I caught myself and got stable again. Well, for some reason I thought this was hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing. I actually started to hyperventilate and finally had to stop skiing to catch my breath and calm down. Haha! I think David and Adam got a laugh out of it.
Well, David left tonight. It was really good to have him here. And turns out when he's here, I exercise a lot more. It was great! Hopefully I can still keep somewhat active the rest of the summer. And! Hopefully I dropped some of those pounds I've been trying to get off.
I had popcorn twice today. It was glorious! But now I feel like I can't have it again tonight, which is fine because I'm actually thinking about heading to bed early again. I think that if I'm getting a good routine down I should keep it up since I'm going to have to start getting up early for classes in less than 3 weeks. So crazy! I move up to AFLBS September 5th. I'm soooo excited!

P.S. I've decided instead of titles I'm going to have quotes. I personally love today's quote. So funny!
Anywho, so if you have any good quotes, let me know!

A true friend is one who overlooks your failures and tolerates your success.

Me and Adam went skiing again this morning. It was not quite as cold, but still kinda cold. It was tons of fun!
Well, as you know, I'm addicted to coffee. So this morning I made some. Well, as I was walking past my dad, he stepped back and the coffee spilled all over the floor. I just laughed because it wasn't hot enough at that point to burn me and only hit my hand. I say he has good aim, because he didn't even get my clothes!
Also, I have news! I have a boyfriend. His name is David, and well, he's quite awesome in my mind. Well he came to my cabin yesterday and this morning he asked me out! And yes, all of you who know that I'm picky, it was a cute way of asking. If you really want details, ask me. I'll probs tell you.
Anywho, after lunch Adam, David and I went three person tubing. My dad has never driven so crazy in his life! It was sooooo fun. And of course I was the only person to fall off. But, in my defense I was trying to stand both times. But in the end, it was awesome! Well, after tubing we convinced David he had to try skiing. Well, after a few minutes of my wonderful teaching skills he tried. And! He got up his first time, and in and out of the wake a bunch of times and didn't get his hair wet. I couldn't decide if I should be proud of my student or mad at him for being better than me. I'm trying to not be mad, so I'll be proud. :) Also, today I tried slalom skiing. I almost made it a couple times after dropping the ski, but after getting the wind knocked out of me and a huge gut ache I decided to call it a day.
Well, after a day full of crazy, extreme adventures I'm pooped. I don't think I've been so tired in a long time. I'm almost falling asleep just typing this.
Sidenote: I dared myself to blog everyday this year. So far, so good. Let's see if I can keep it up.

Here's some pictures from tubing and David skiing. :)

Well, anywho. I'm going to call it a night. Yes, it's 10:15, I'm lame. And yet, I'm so excited to sleep. Wa-bam! Goodnight folks!

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

Ow!

This morning I went skiing with Adam at 6:30. It was the most cold experience of my life! Even worse than in the winter. I decided that I was gonna drive first. Which, in my mind seemed like the smart thing to do. But, by the time it was my time to go, my hands were freezing. Anywho, the water was a lot warmer than the air. By like 50 degrees! It was so wonderful though. The water was so clear and it was the most beautiful sunrise ever. It was foggy on the lake and looking back through the fog with the sun shining through the trees was the most beautiful sight ever! Praise the Lord!
Also, tonight I hurt my finger. I was getting skinny cow cheese from the fridge drawer and I closed my left hand second finger in it. Ouch!!!!
Our game of fartzee lasted three stinking hours! That's so long. It usually only lasts 10 minutes. Ridiculous!
When I wrote this blog I was so tired I was falling asleep. You can probably tell by how short and boring it is. :(

Disclaimer: All of my facts in this are exaggerated.

Game Over

The diet is off. I gave up within one day. I decided as long as I'm eating healthy and keeping my levels normal it's not a big deal. So, today I ate garlic mashed potatoes and chips. Healthy? Probably not. Delicious? Heck yes! Here's some pictures of my failure (round two).
I'm back at the cabin. I realized today how much I'm gonna miss my family this fall. A lot!
My photoshoot went beautifully this morning! Here's a link to some pictures from Rachel's session. :)
http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?pid=4711611&id=193450565137
Also, my family thinks it's ridiculous how much I text. Well, someone's gotta use our unlimited texting up! No one else uses it. Adam says, "What do you text about?" So I said, "I just tell them about my life and they laugh at me." So Adam says, "So you just say, "Hey, I'm eating lunch?" and they respond "Lol, so funny."? Haha, I love my family.
Today Adam said wa-bam! (Which is what I say when I do my awesome finger snappy thing.) And I told him that he does not have permission to say that since he can't do the awesome finger snappy thing. So, he made up a new word to say. It's ka-blam! I like it, but don't tell him I said so. :P
Sidenote: My mom is trying to get me mad on purpose right now. She's being all "lovey-dovey", but it's fake. This makes me sad. :(
Everyone in my family is going to bed. It's 10:30! So stinking early! What do they expect me to do until my bedtime (aka 2 a.m.)? I guess I could go to bed, but lately I've had no luck falling asleep before 2, I laid in my bed for 2.5 hours last night trying. No such luck! Oh well, I guess I might as well try. Me and Adam are waking up at 6:30 to go "exercising". My goal is to not get my hair wet. We'll see about that. :/ Well, goodnight!

Lessons Learned

My. Life. Is. Over.
Ok, so maybe it's not over but I like over-exaggerating.
I've gained 4 pounds in the past three weeks. So lame! I really shouldn't even be that upset, my whole wardrobe still fits and no one else can tell. But I can, my cheeks look chubbier, and it's not cool! Sooooooo... I'm on a strict diet for a while. Fruit, veggies, meat.  If you see me eating anything else, snatch it out of my hand and shove it in your mouth. I'll hate you at the time, but eventually I will love you again. (And if you don't want to eat it, just throw it on the ground and spit on it, there's a good chance that'll actually make me laugh.)
I ate at Outback today. Greatest restaurant for gluten free peeps, because basically the whole menu is gf. Glorious! Anywho, I ate ribs because I wanted to try something other than steak. It was delicious! But, I'll stick with the steak from now on. There's a reason they are known for their steaks. :)
Also, I relearned today that you should not wear high heels shopping and skirts on a windy day. As I was gassing up my car today my skirt tried taking off like a parachute. But, luckily I grabbed it before everyone saw a little (aka lot) more than they wanted to see. And... to explain the high heels. I usually don't (Ok, I never do. I'm not one of those girls who has to look cute to go shopping, that's just ridiculous!) wear high heels shopping, but my mom and I went right after lunch (which was right after church) and the only other shoes I had in my car were my boots, and that wasn't happening with my skirt and on a hot day. Well, I got a new shirt (which is superdeduperty cute!) and some new jewelry. I swear I looked at jewelry for like 20 minutes and couldn't find anything. Then, my mom walks through and chooses three things I loved in less than a minute. She's so awesome! I was speechless.
I am also quite amazed at myself. I leave for school in 3 weeks exactly. And... I'm packed! Such a relief! Wa-bam! Also, I got the room I requested. So, that's exciting news. :)
So, today at Target I found cookies and cream chocolate kisses. I was so excited I just snatched them up without thinking about the whole cookie thing. Turns out cookies have gluten. So I guess I just got a present for my sister. You're welcome, Emily! I hope you enjoy gluten. Plus, this is really a favor to my body. Chocolate isn't really on my diet. :(
Tonight was a lounge night. Just me and my computer on my comfy bed. It was a very relaxing evening. Senior photo session tomorrow at 8:30, very excited! Then, back up to the cabin for a couple weeks of "exercising" (aka skiing, tubing and kayaking) and family time. I'm pumped!

Caffeine!!!!!!

Well, it is official. I'm addicted.
I'm actually quite mad at myself right now. I used to hate coffee, the taste of it, everything about it. Well, recently I learned I love it. And so I drank it every day for two weeks straight. And then, I stopped. Worst idea ever. I have had headaches galore and mood swings, which really can be fun, just not when you're crabby. I hate being crabby. It makes me wanna punch myself in the face. Crabby people make me so mad, so when I'm crabby I get mad at myself, which then makes me even more crabby. It's kind of a vicious cycle.
Anywho, today I finally gave in. I drank coffee. And, it was glorious! My headache is gone and I have energy. A lot of energy!
So, this weekend I was to hitch a ride with Emily and Adam home and of course I wouldn't have a car, so I'd have to drive my dad's pontiac solstice. Well, my mommy got sick. So I drove her home. So.... No driving the solstice this weekend. :( Oh well! I'm glad I could help my mommy out! And on the bright side, I do love my car!
My mom decided she wanted to take me to a movie, she's the best (she even got me out of my sweats and into jeans). I think she's realizing how boring I am lately. Honestly, I wouldn't even want to hang out with me. Yup, I'm that lame! It's quite sad. I always notice when I'm sad, all I need is some God time. God's so amazing! Seriously, He's always there when you need Him, and we all need Him every second of our lives. Well, I read 1 Peter 4. And it was a great and very necessary reminder of how I need to live for God and not for myself. Daily, I find myself living for me, but my life should be lived for God. I want so badly to glorify God in all I do. Isn't it great how God sent Jesus to cover our sins for us? It makes me sooooo giddy just thinking about it! Even more giddy than caffeine ever could. I'm so glad God loved us, horrible sinners, and sent Jesus to wash away our sins. On that note, here's a link to one of my favorite worship songs. http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/search/songs/?query=jesus%2C%20thank%20you (I hope that works, if not, it's Jesus, Thank You by Sovereign Grace Music)
Here's the lyrics:

The mystery of the cross I cannot comprehend
The agonies of Calvary
You the perfect Holy One, crushed Your Son
Who drank the bitter cup reserved for me

Your blood has washed away my sin
Jesus, thank You
The Father’s wrath completely satisfied
Jesus, thank You
Once Your enemy, now seated at Your table
Jesus, thank You

By Your perfect sacrifice I’ve been brought near
Your enemy You’ve made Your friend
Pouring out the riches of Your glorious grace
Your mercy and Your kindness know no end

Lover of my soul
I want to live for You

Friday, the 13th

Now, I'm really not a superstitious person. But, it's good to get a laugh out of the day. So here's a list of all the "bad" things that happened to me today.
1. I stayed up until 2 a.m. And yet, I can't really complain, I got to catch up with a couple of my good friends on skype (seriously people, I love skype, add me! nmpierson).
2. I woke up at 7:10 to go skiing. Well, after struggling to put my contacts in and putting on my still damp swimsuit I received a text from Adam saying to go back to bed cuz it was lightning (I really hate that word, I think it should be lightninging) out. So I went back to sleep until 10:30. Glorious!
3. My levels are still ridiculously high, I think I need a different nighttime dosage of insulin. I called my doctor the other day and she said she'd get back to me within that day. Well, two days later, no call! Whatever, I guess I'll just shoot myself up with tons of insulin at meals and only eat fruit for carbs. Sounds like a great way to lose that 3 pounds I gained in the past two weeks. I'm really hoping those are going to be gone when I go home and step on that scale.
4. At lunch, I was reaching for the strawberries and of course they fell right into my glass full of peach mango iced tea. So there was now tea all over me and strawberries all over the table. I am such a clutz lately! Ok so sidenote: I was telling my family how great this peach mango iced tea is compared to the peach tea (they're both crystal light and delicious btw, I say go buy some pronto!) because it's a light color and won't stain when you spill it. I bet they are happy I spilled that and not the peach tea. Wa-bam!
5. Well, this didn't happen to me, but Jacob peed the bed (and by the bed, I mean Emily and Adam's bed) this morning. Lol I personally think it's hilarious. I told Emily she should buy bigger diapers and put the bigger diaper over his little one. Haha! How funny would that be?!?
6. Jacob threw up right in front of me into Emily's hand. I almost threw up, I actually gagged. Yuck! I'm not having kids for a LONG time! Sorry mom, you'll just have to rely on Emily for grandchildren. :P
7.  My stupid phone (and yes, it's stupid. My old beautiful voyager stopped charging in June so I got our old LG crap phone) keeps freezing up. Quite annoying! Plus, it doesn't even receive video messages, that's just plain sad!
8. This past week I became addicted to coffee (well, I suppose it's actually caffeine). I'm trying to get unaddicted, this is NOT fun. Lots of headaches and necessary naps to get through the day. I think I almost fell asleep 5 times today just sitting at the kitchen table.
9. As I was trying to take a nap today, there was a stupid fly that would NOT leave me alone. Every time I was half asleep, it would land on my face. Lol and each time I would try to kill it (yes, while it was on my face). Let's just say it didn't end well. Eventually I got a fly swatter, that fly is old news now! Ka-bam!
10.  Tried taking Jacob's 4 month pictures today. No success, this is the best picture I got.  I'm ashamed of my photography "skills" today. :(
In my defense though, he was not a happy camper and it was way too bright out.
11. At dinner, I was walking by my sister and accidentally ran into her shoulder. Which then made the whole table shake, which then spilled Emily's milk. I seriously just can't win with things and spilling lately.
12. Me and Adam went skiing after dinner, my goal was to not get my hair wet. Well, after hitting a couple waves, that goal was not accomplished. I went down twice tonight, not a very good night for me. :( Also, I expect to see a bruise on my left upper arm. That fall was a good one! Lots of laughter. Haha! And on another bad note about my skiing tonight, I have blisters on my palms by every finger, that's gonna hurt for a couple days. :(
13. I started my laundry at 11 tonight. Not the smartest move. Now I have to wait up for it to finish, and I'm tired despite my 3 hour nap. Lame!

Well, despite all these "horrible" things, I actually had a great day.

Also, I'm sorry this got so long. If you read it all, you're cooler than me. I sure wouldn't read something this long unless I had no life. Lol So actually I prolly would read it. I love my life!

This is funny, read it and laugh!

"It's always fair weather when friends are together."

I'm sitting here thinking about what to write, but nothing's coming to mind. Nothing funny happened to me today. I didn't have a laughing attack. Really, it was just a sad day. :(
I woke up early, so I took a nap. A two hour nap, glorious! Well, I woke up groggy and stayed that way for at least two hours. Until finally I decided it was time to do something. So me and my mom made gf (yes, that stands for gluten free) chocolate chip cookies. Well, the dough is awesome, so awesome I kept sneaking some. Then, I ate two cookies. Yes, I realize that's not a big deal in reality. But, in the reality of a diabetic, it's a HUGE deal. My levels were a wee (and by wee, I mean a lot) bit high. So, I ate not so many carbs for dinner and shot myself up with tons of insulin.
Tonight, we went to the Ambassadors concert. Little Jacob was fussy, which made for a good laugh from me. Ever notice how hard it is to stifle a laugh when you just wanna be loud? I did, it's not fun. Kinda ruins the moment. Lol Anyways, they sounded beautiful! After I even got to catch up with a few of them, it was very nice. Also, did you know? "It's always fair weather when friends are together."

On the way home we were driving towards a huge storm. It was so beautiful with all the lightning behind the clouds. And right above us were brilliant stars. All in all, a beautiful night from my wonderful Creator.

Also, I think my life should be made into a movie. I'd go to it. Feel free to leave a comment with what you think. I'm thinking Kate Bosworth, the girl from Win a Date with Tad Hamilton could maybe pull me off. Plus, she's cute. And to have a successful movie, you need a cute star. It's just the truth.

Blogging

Let's be honest. Blogging really isn't my thing. But, I think that my life is interesting. Maybe other people will too. Who knows?!?

So many funny things happen to me, I love my life!

Yesterday I drove up to my cabin to enjoy the rest of the summer up here (well, for the most part). I got here and my family was gone! They went to Watertown to go shopping :( So I unpacked and took a nap. Well, when I woke up there was a baby in my face, my handsome nephew, Jacob. It was so great seeing him after such a long time (and yes, 2 weeks is a LONG time). Well, Emily (my sister) decided to make him laugh and holy crap, his laugh is so great! It made me and Emily laugh so hard. So we went inside, made dinner, ate, cleaned up. Well, me and Adam (my brother-in-law) decided we were going skiing. So, we did. And it was awesome! I didn't get my hair wet at all, I consider that a huge accomplishment since I usually faceplant it at least once every time I go skiing. Well, if you know me and skiing, you know there is tons of screaming coming from me when I'm up. Lol, when we got back, my mom said, "We heard you all around the lake." So great! Everything is better screaming, just try it, I dare you.

So last night I was making popcorn for the fam, and right as it was finishing up (yes, I was lazy and used the stir crazy) I went to flip it over in the bowl. Well, I guess I wasn't expecting it to be THAT hot, but it was! And I dropped it. So there was now popcorn all over the counter and floor. Well, my dad was standing out in the garage and just walked in and past me mocking me with a smile. No idea how I thought this was funny, but I was laughing so hard, I fell on the ground. Now this seems quite ridiculous laughing that hard, but if you know me, you know that I pretty much laugh for sport. There is nothing better than laughing to the point of an ab workout. Nothing! (Well, maybe screaming for sport.)
Well, after I cleaned up my mess of popcorn we started eating it, but not until after Emily kicked my butt once again at Blink (stupid game! and yet, I will play until I can kick her butt at least 5x in a row, and of course by then I'll be addicted). Then, my mom decided she HAD to show me this email forward that is in her words "so funny". I never know if what she says is funny is funny, sometimes yes, sometimes heck no! Anyways, so I started reading it while stuffing my face with popcorn. Well, it was hilarious. So hilarious in fact that someday I'll prolly put it on here. Anyways, I had another laughing attack. So great!

Side note: Get skype and add me, I love it!

This morning my turquoise (well, really it's more blue, but I'll stick with turquoise) straightener came in the mail. Wa-bam! Worked beautifully! And it's a nano, aka tiny, aka perfect for traveling! Glorious!

Well, I'm out of stuff for now. Hopefully I can keep up this blog. And hopefully it's funny for people other than me. :)

Over and out!
